Tania Roberts, who captured James Bond in “A View to a Kill” and played Midge Pinciotti in the sitcom “That ’70s Show,” was hospitalized after falling into her home. The actress was reported accidentally dead by her publicist earlier Monday. Mike Pinngle, a publicist at Roberts, told The Associated Press Monday afternoon that Roberts, 65, was still alive as of 10 a.m. PST but was in poor condition. He had said earlier on Monday that Roberts had collapsed at her home on Dec. 24 and had been admitted to Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where it is believed she died on Sunday. Pinngle said Robert’s partner, Lance O’Brien, told him that he had detained his wife and that she “seemed to be slipping out of her hands.” O’Brien, who was unable to see Roberts in hospital due to COVID-19 restrictions, Pinngle said he was allowed to visit on Sunday for a final goodbye, indicating that the actor did not have the virus, and the publicist said he was waiting for further updates on Roberts’ condition. Several media outlets, including the Associated Press, reported Roberts’ death. The AP removed her obituary and sent a notice indicating that the actor was still alive. One of Roberts’ notable roles was as the geologist Stacy Sutton opposite Roger Moore in 1985’s “A View to a Kill.” Roberts has also appeared in fictional adventure films such as “The Beastmaster” and “Hearts and Armor”. She replaces Shelley Hack in Charlie’s Angels, and joins Jacqueline Smith and Sherrill Ladd as Angel Julie III. She also played comic book heroine Chyna – a female version of Tarzan’s story – in the 1984 movie. A new generation of “That ’70s Show” fans watched her playing Midge, Donna’s mother as Laura Prepon.
